Manisha Bathija

Manisha Bathija has over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry, specifically focused on senior housing and healthcare real estate. She has completed over $60B of mergers, acquisitions and asset sales and $15B of debt and equity capital markets transactions. She has executed transactions ranging from $500,000 to multi-billion dollar deals throughout all segments of healthcare real estate, including senior housing, skilled nursing, hospitals and medical office.

Prior to founding Doyenne Healthcare Capital, Manisha spent nine years on the senior leadership team of Ventas, Inc., an S&P 500 company and real estate investment trust that owns a diversified portfolio of senior living communities, life science, research & innovation properties, medical office & outpatient facilities, hospitals, and other healthcare real estate in the US, Canada and the United Kingdom.

As Senior Investment Officer at Ventas, she was responsible for investments within the senior living portfolio and asset sales across the Company, including seniors housing, skilled nursing, hospitals and medical office. Manisha joined Ventas in 2011 and helped grow the senior living portfolio from $11 billion to over $18 billion through acquisitions and developments. Responsible for originating, negotiating and executing acquisitions and development opportunities, Manisha completed more than $7 billion of real estate transactions and corporate mergers and acquisitions during her tenure at Ventas. She also built an asset sales platform for the Company and successfully executed over $2 billion in asset sales.

Prior to Ventas, Manisha spent nine years in roles of increasing responsibility in the Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. She focused on building relationships, providing strategic advice and executing transactions with healthcare real estate investment trusts (REITs) and senior housing, skilled nursing and healthcare operating companies. She also spent four years as an auditor in the Hospitality & Real Estate Group at Arthur Andersen.

Manisha received her MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan with emphases on Finance and Strategy and holds a Bachelor of Science in in Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Virginia Tech.  She is a Certified Public Accountant.
